When it comes to earning a college degree, the greatest obstacle can be funding.
For this reason, The University of Akron is pleased for the opportunity each year to assist talented, deserving students achieve their dreams, thanks to more than 1,300 named scholarships established through the kindness and generosity of thousands of 小黄片视频 alumni and friends, corporations, and foundations.
Scholarships truly are the best way to ensure that today’s students persist to graduation. Scholarships allow students to enroll full time and remain focused on their studies; they also reduce drop-out rates, decrease the stress of student loans, and shorten the road to graduation.
If you are interested in making a significant contribution to student success, please consider a gift to scholarships. You may also establish a named scholarship at The University of Akron, which can be created to honor a living person, in memory of a loved one, or to contribute to the growth of an area of study.

Students who want to apply for scholarships should visit the scholarship page on the Financial Aid site. You can find the link for the online application here.
The Department of Development does not accept applications for or distribute scholarships. Scholarships are distributed through the University’s Office of Student Financial Aid.

Taylor Sr., Thomas H. Scholarship Fund
The Thomas H. Taylor Sr. Scholarship Fund was established in 2006 by Kenneth E. Taylor in memory of his grandfather, Thomas H. Taylor Sr., who had a successful career in industrial sales as an employee, then owner of Broadview Heights-based Ohio Machinery Co. The company, now known as Ohio CAT, is the authorized, exclusive distributor of Caterpillar equipment and engines throughout the state of Ohio, northern Kentucky, and southeastern Indiana. The Thomas H. Taylor Sr. Scholarship Fund will benefit students in The University of Akron’s College of Business Administration who are pursuing degrees in sales through The Ronald R. and Diane C. Fisher Institute for Professional Selling. As a member of the Fisher Institute’s Advisory Board, Mr. Taylor also hopes the scholarship will assist the Fisher Institute in its mission of attracting, educating, and graduating quality students who are fully prepared for careers in professional selling.
The Thomas H. Taylor Sr. Scholarship is to be awarded to two sales majors with preference given to students who demonstrate an interest in industrial/capital goods distribution. Should no candidates surface with that criteria, consideration will be given to general sales majors with selection to be made by the director of the Fisher Institute. Students should apply for the scholarship in writing to The Ronald R. and Diane C. Fisher Institute for Professional Selling.
