When it comes to earning a college degree, the greatest obstacle can be funding.
For this reason, The University of Akron is pleased for the opportunity each year to assist talented, deserving students achieve their dreams, thanks to more than 1,300 named scholarships established through the kindness and generosity of thousands of 小黄片视频 alumni and friends, corporations, and foundations.
Scholarships truly are the best way to ensure that today’s students persist to graduation. Scholarships allow students to enroll full time and remain focused on their studies; they also reduce drop-out rates, decrease the stress of student loans, and shorten the road to graduation.
If you are interested in making a significant contribution to student success, please consider a gift to scholarships. You may also establish a named scholarship at The University of Akron, which can be created to honor a living person, in memory of a loved one, or to contribute to the growth of an area of study.

Students who want to apply for scholarships should visit the scholarship page on the Financial Aid site. You can find the link for the online application here.
The Department of Development does not accept applications for or distribute scholarships. Scholarships are distributed through the University’s Office of Student Financial Aid.

Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Endowed Scholarship
Since its founding in 1931, Beta Sigma Phi has grown to be an international organization of women with over 250,000 active members in nearly 12,500 chapters. It is a cultural, social, and service organization and is not affiliated with any university or college.
The Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Endowed Scholarship is an endowed fund established with a $10,000 gift in 2000 from Akron City Council of Beta Sigma Phi, which is the governing organization of the six chapters of Beta Sigma Phi in Akron, Ohio. The scholarship description was revised in 2017.
The Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Endowed Scholarship is open to female students pursuing a degree in any major at The University of Akron. The student must have graduated from a high school located in the five-county area of Summit, Stark, Portage, Wayne, or Medina with a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average. Recipients may be incoming freshmen or students returning to the University to complete their degree. If no applicant meets the geographical requirement, an applicant with a 2.5 cumulative grade point average from any high school in Ohio may be considered. The recipient must also maintain a 2.5 cumulative grade point average throughout their studies at the University.
Final selection of the recipient(s) will be made by Akron City Council of The Beta Sigma Phi Sorority from applications presented to them by the University of Akron, Department of Development.
