When it comes to earning a college degree, the greatest obstacle can be funding.
For this reason, The University of Akron is pleased for the opportunity each year to assist talented, deserving students achieve their dreams, thanks to more than 1,300 named scholarships established through the kindness and generosity of thousands of 小黄片视频 alumni and friends, corporations, and foundations.
Scholarships truly are the best way to ensure that today’s students persist to graduation. Scholarships allow students to enroll full time and remain focused on their studies; they also reduce drop-out rates, decrease the stress of student loans, and shorten the road to graduation.
If you are interested in making a significant contribution to student success, please consider a gift to scholarships. You may also establish a named scholarship at The University of Akron, which can be created to honor a living person, in memory of a loved one, or to contribute to the growth of an area of study.

The Department of Development does not accept applications for or distribute scholarships. Scholarships are distributed through the University’s Office of Student Financial Aid.

Marhevsky, Andrew M. and Connie Race Endowed Scholarship in Education
The Andrew M. and Connie Race Marhevsky Endowed Scholarship in Education was established in 2013 by Andrew and Connie Marhevsky, alumni of The University of Akron. Mr. and Mrs. Marhevsky have a deep passion for teaching and learning and wanted to give back to their alma mater by supporting students in the College of Education seeking to become educators.
Andy Marhevsky earned two degrees from the University's College of Business Administration, a bachelor’s in 1969 and a master’s in 1972. He was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity and was inducted into the Scabbard and Blade military honorary society. He also was involved in student government and was a member of the Tel-Buch staff. Mr. Marhevsky spent his entire career in banking, eventually retiring as president and CEO, Lebanon Valley Farmers Bank.
Connie Race Marhevsky is a 1970 graduate of the University's College of Education. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and an ROTC Sponsor. She is a retired educator who has lent her time and talents, advancing many community organizations, including Lebanon Community Library and the Wilmington Newcomers, among others.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Marhevsky were members of the Advancement Councils in their respective colleges. Mr. Marhevsky also was a member of the National Alumni Board of Directors (1985-88) and The University of Akron Annual Fund (1988-90), where he served as national chairman.
The Andrew M. and Connie Race Marhevsky Endowed Scholarship in Education is to be awarded to a full-time student in his/her first year in the College of Education at The University of Akron who had a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher and who have maintained a 3.0 GPA at the University. The scholarship can be renewed each year until graduation, provided the student maintains a 3.0 GPA or higher each year. Students in Sports Science and Wellness Education are not eligible to apply. Recipients will be determined by the College of Education in conjunction with the Office of Student Financial Aid.
