Named scholarships & funds
When it comes to earning a college degree, the greatest obstacle can be funding.
For this reason, The University of Akron is pleased for the opportunity each year to assist talented, deserving students achieve their dreams, thanks to more than 1,300 named scholarships established through the kindness and generosity of thousands of 小黄片视频 alumni and friends, corporations, and foundations.
Scholarships truly are the best way to ensure that today’s students persist to graduation. Scholarships allow students to enroll full time and remain focused on their studies; they also reduce drop-out rates, decrease the stress of student loans, and shorten the road to graduation.
If you are interested in making a significant contribution to student success, please consider a gift to scholarships. You may also establish a named scholarship at The University of Akron, which can be created to honor a living person, in memory of a loved one, or to contribute to the growth of an area of study.

Students who want to apply for scholarships should visit the scholarship page on the Financial Aid site. You can find the link for the online application here.
The Department of Development does not accept applications for or distribute scholarships. Scholarships are distributed through the University’s Office of Student Financial Aid.

Bogue Rowan Student Program Endowment
The Bogue Rowan Student Program Endowment was established by Kathleen (Kaye) and Gary Bogue to benefit student design projects and competition programs in the School of Law and the College of Engineering at The University of Akron.
Kaye (Rowan) Bogue earned a journalism degree from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. While attending NAU, Kaye was an accomplished reporter on the University newspaper staff and collegiate distance runner. She also worked full-time while attending college on a journalism scholarship.
Gary L. Bogue received his undergraduate and master degrees from Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS. Gary earned a varsity letter in football, playing safety for the Wildcats. The Bogue family is noted in Kansas State University books for having three generations of football players for the Wildcats. Gary also coached football at the University and worked as academic advisor for Kansas State and other universities.
From their own collegiate years, both Kaye and Gary understand the importance (and yet the challenges) of balancing academic studies with practical experiences. They, therefore, wish to applaud the students who seek out the opportunity to learn beyond the classroom by offering this annual support.
The intention of this endowment will be divided with one-half of the annual award amount to benefit specified student design competition teams within the College of Engineering. The awards are to rotate annually between the Electrical, Civil and Mechanical Engineering student design competition teams.
The remaining half of the endowment annual award is to benefit The School of Law Trial Team. This has been a highly successful program that competes on a national basis. There are many outstanding graduates of the School of Law who have participated in the trial team competition and have gone on to very successful law careers.
