The Myers School of Art's 2012 Faculty Exhibition runs now through Dec. 7 in the Emily Davis Gallery in Folk Hall. The faculty works will be joined by student works in "Spectrum," running Nov. 12-23.

The "Spectrum" exhibition runs Nov. 12-23 in the Project Gallery as well as in the upper and lower atriums of Folk Hall. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

A dual reception for both exhibitions is Tuesday, Nov. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The exhibitions and reception are free. Folk Hall is at 150 E. Exchange St., on the С»ÆƬÊÓƵ campus, and has free parking for visitors.

The 2012 Faculty Exhibition features works from throughout the school’s studio art programs: ceramics, graphic design, metalsmithing, painting, drawing, new media, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. The faculty artists include Charles Beneke, Andrew Borowiec, Kate Budd, Jody Hawk, Chris Hoot, Matthew Kolodziej, Stephen Litchfield, Beth Lindenberger, Del Rey Loven, Tony Samangy, Mark Soppeland, Melissa Stallard, Mary Beth Stauffen, Carl Subich, Dave Szalay, Janice Troutman, Laura Vinnedge, Markus Vogl, Laila Voss and Donna Webb.

The exhibition "Spectrum" features works by 16 senior students in an array of media.

"At the Myers School of Art, we encourage our students to push their creativity and step away from what is comfortable," says exhibition curator Markus Vogl, assistant professor of graphic design at С»ÆƬÊÓƵ. "The works in 'Spectrum' are overlapping sequences of thoughts and opinions in the students' exploration of varied but related ideas."
