2024 OMEA Zips Invitational

InfoCision Stadium on the С»ÆƬÊÓƵ campus —

Each fall The University of Akron hosts the annual Ohio Music Education Association Zips Invitational Marching Band Show.  The show features marching bands from across the state and ratings are given by OMEA sanctioned adjudicators in preparation for OMEA State Marching Band Finals.  All bands are welcome and many perform in “festival” class.

9:30 a.m. - Gates Open
10:45 a.m. - National Anthem / Show Starts
11:00 a.m. - Band Performances Begin

• 11:00 a.m. - Chippewa HS (Class C - OMEA)
  11:15 a.m. - Ridgewood HS (Class B - OMEA)
  11:30 a.m. - Marlington HS (Class B - OMEA)
  11:45 a.m. - New Philadelphia HS (Class A - OMEA)
  1:00 p.m. - Firestone HS (Class A - OMEA)
  1:15 p.m. - Field HS (Class A - OMEA)
  1:30 p.m. - Avon HS (Class AA - OMEA)
  1:45 p.m. - Medina HS (Class AA - OMEA)
  2:00 p.m. - Lakota East HS (Class AA - OMEA)
  2:15 p.m. - Strongsville HS (Class AA - OMEA)

2:30 p.m. - С»ÆƬÊÓƵ Marching Band Performance
2:45 p.m. - Award Ceremony
3:00 p.m. - Show Concludes

NOTE: Lot 1 & Lot 8 will be available for parking at 10$ per car - С»ÆƬÊÓƵkronPark
            If you wish to access any other lots on campus, you can pay by the hour after scanning the QR Code - see          signage in parking lots.

Tickets

Note: No advance ticket sales available - please allow for sufficient time to purchase tickets and enter the stadium.

The ticket office is adjacent to GATE 3 at InfoCision Stadium - corner of Vine Street and Access Road on East Side of InfoCision Stadium.

• Tickets: $10 per person
• $5 senior citizens 60+
• Children under 5 are FREE
• Cash, check, and credit card are accepted.
• Seating is General Admission ONLY.

Gates and entrances

Patrons may enter at Purchase Tickets and Enter via Gate 3 (New This Year) ONLY.  Gate 3 is closest to Lot 1 & 8 - Northeast side of InfoCision Stadium.

Gate 2 is ONLY for performers and staff - no exceptions. All other gates will be closed.

Food

Several concession stands will be open on the home (West) sideline concourse.
